A web company with its prices on the website
That sounds like a small thing. In this industry it is not, and almost everything else about how we work follows from it.
What this company actually is
A Social Solutions builds websites and marketing systems for small businesses, from an office at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1 in Huntington. Not a coworking desk and not a mailbox: an address on East Main Street that clients visit, which matters more than it should in an industry where a great many competitors are a logo and a contact form.
Three fixed prices, $997, $3,497, $9,997, published before anyone talks to a salesperson. 33 industries have their own page. 17 Long Island towns and boroughs have their own page. And 22 finished sites are listed with their real addresses, 5 built for clients and 17 businesses we own and run ourselves.
That last number is the part worth pausing on. Most agencies show client work only. Running our own businesses on the same stack we sell means we pay for our own bad decisions instead of discovering them with somebody else's money, and it is why the advice on this site is more specific than it would otherwise be.
Four rules, and what each one costs us
Every one of these is visible elsewhere on this site. They are listed together here so they can be checked together.

01
The price is published, so it cannot depend on you.
Why
A quote produced after a discovery call can be shaped by what the agency learned about your business in that call, including how much money it makes. Two businesses needing the identical site get different numbers and neither finds out. Publishing gives that up deliberately. It costs us the ability to charge more when we could.
-
02
No page caps, ever.
Why
Pricing by the page trains a client to ask for fewer of exactly the pages that win local search. A cap would make us more money on the builds that need the most work, which is the wrong incentive to put between us and a customer.

03
The guides sometimes tell you not to buy.
Why
There are twelve buying guides on this site and several of them argue against hiring anyone at all, including us. A business that is fully booked on word of mouth is told to keep its money. It costs us sales, and it costs nothing else, because the people we talk out of buying are the ones who would have been unhappy.

04
We do not publish a number we cannot show you.
Why
No invented traffic figures, no unattributed case study results, no review stars we generated ourselves. Where a number appears, it is either a figure the business publishes about itself, with a link to where we read it, or it is not there. The build refuses to ship a page that breaks this.
22 sites, all live right now
Every one has a real address you can open in another tab. 5 were built for clients. 17 are businesses we own and run, and they are labelled as ours.
Huntington, and the island around it
The office is at 205 E Main St, Ste 2-1, Huntington, NY 11743. The phone is 631.760.1103 and it is answered Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Email is [email protected].
We work across all of Long Island, which on this site means all of it: both counties, all thirteen towns, the two Nassau cities, and the Queens and Brooklyn ends that most Long Island companies pretend are somewhere else. Prices do not change by town and there is no travel charge.
